As NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a Registered Pharmacist who has been working in Retail Pharmacy for over 25 years, I believe that exercise and nutrition are an important adjunct to medications in the treatment of disease, particularly Autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis and Fibromyalgia.
Through my experience as a pharmacist I have encountered many patients that could benefit from exercise but don’t know where to begin. I have also encountered many people who have had a bad experience when they joined a gym or hired a personal trainer, and quit their exercise program because they felt ashamed or were given a program that wasn’t appropriate for them.
Every person no matter what their age or medical condition can improve their health through exercise, but people who suffer from autoimmune diseases need to be approached in a different way by an experienced professional who knows how to develop a program that won’t injure them or worsen their condition. As a busy working mother of 4 children I also understand the challenges of sticking to an exercise program and really enjoy showing people how to fit exercise into their life. I believe that exercise should always be fun and will adapt your exercise program to fit your preferences and personal goals.
Through motivating, customized fitness sessions, I will help you realize your true capacity for strength and through nutrition coaching I will help you get off the diet rollercoaster and develop sustainable habits that will lead better health. Give me a call to schedule a consult and discuss your needs and concerns!
